After he found asylum in The Netherlands, Huis Doorn was the residence of the last German Emperor Wilhelm II. Now the house is a museum and the estate can be visited.
In 2015 the freestanding garage on the premises was renovated and converted into an exhibition space themed ‘Netherlands in the First World War’. As an extension to this exhibition space, a glazed pavilion was designed.
